Introduction
Someone may think to have a radio or television program, but most of the media require a proposal in order to request transmission. It is important that you present a clear and complete proposal that allows media to assess the new program quickly, and at the same time forces new program makers to think carefully about what your program will look like. In this article, we are trying to help you list all things necessary that each program maker will have to deal with. Make sure your proposal is short and clear maximum only three A4pages. As Attachment, you need to send the program format and the program demo at cd or minidisc for radio and DVD or D-tape for television. Your program proposal should contain at least the following subjects;
The general genre of your program
In this part, the program maker should answer the
following questions; what are the program themes, for example; will it be a
sport or music program, or a talk Show? Will it be live or tape on desk?
What will the duration of the program and how frequently will be broadcasted? Maybe
per week. Will you present journalist and objective topic or specifically
choose your line of approach to be colored? For example I will expect to
use journalist from your studio the payment of that journalist we can make an
agreement but I will provide main presenter speakers include myself.
Description of the atmosphere
Please justify, Will the program be trendy and loud or
instead calm and moderate? Colorful, cheerful or serious; informal or businesslike;
approachable for an expert audience? Are you aiming at the atmosphere of a
certain target group, region or country?
The presentation
How the program be presented? Will the presenters
mainly present items or are there several interviews? for example the program will
be presented at studio live in English language, the
presenters mainly present items or coverages already present to your studio before,
for inspection to see if comply with code of broadcast before broadcasted. Will you be using music or spots as a diversion or
as an essential part of the program? In this case, take example of use spots (short
commercial break) as diversion.
Who will be presenting and why did you choose the
specific person/persons? Will they be
employable for all broadcasts and how will a replacement be arranged when the
regular presenter is banned from presenting? For example, you can start that
you have more than one expert in that industry so it will be easy to replace.
Target audience of program
Please pay attention in this section, be specific as
possible concerning the targeted program audience. Think about specific
subjects like age, time they watch or listen radio level of education, field of
interest and/or the ethnic background of your audience. Are you mainly
targeting men or women? What is the need
of a program for this specific audience?
Content of the program
Be careful in this part as
its heart of your proposal, illustrate the specific examples of program components that you want to use in your
broadcasts. This is necessary for both the subjects and the categories. For example,
are you trying to raise specific subjects in as many ways as possible or to
raise many different subjects in the same stringent format? You can have a
detail topics of program may be per month or year.
The program can consist of interviews or of previous
reported coverage’s and with the categories, you can think of items like phone
calls from listeners and contests as well as to receive question and advice
through social media address like twitter, Facebook, email etc.
Explain the time and duration of broadcast and days
basing on the target audience.
For
example, the program will
be broadcasting at Monday from 21:00 p.m. -22:30 p.m. tonight or Tuesday
from 21:00p.m up to 22:30 p.m. tonight or Wednesday 21:00 p.m up to 22:30 p.m
tonight. This because most of audiences they prefer to watch television and listen radio at that time
and other time most they prefer to relax so if broadcast other day may fail to
capture targeted people and program will not meet the aim.

Financial support
How will the
broadcasts be financed and who is responsible for the payments? Will the program paid by more than one organization or
are you using private donors? Are you recruiting advertisors?
For example the The program will be financed by
sponsorship where by I expect to have maximum 3 sponsors on the program and
they will announced their business in our program as diversion.
Technical completion
Do you have the necessary equipment or will you renting
in either from studio or somewhere else? Do you have your own employees for the
technical arrangements? In order to use the media radio studios it is mandatory
that each technician attend a technical course; will he/she be able to take this
course? In what manner will you deliver the broadcasts of your program? Example
tape or disc. Here you can state the program will use media equipment and technician.
Promotion
Any things needs to become well known with the public before
people will start listening or watching even the most fantastic program. How, when and where will you be promoting your program with your target audience? Are
you planning to attract advertisers that will promote their product
among your target audience? For example, you can use social media to promote a
program. Make sure you have a nice presentation so that to attract
much audience that influence many sponsors to advertising their business.
Organisational structure
Who or which organization took the initiative to make
these broadcasts. Who is the administrator or the director of your organization?
What are the points of interest for program at the selected media? Who is
performing the tasks within the organization?
Motivation
What makes your program interesting and important for
the residents of such region for example India?
Finally
It is therefore essential that the programs reach a
broad audience and that many residents as possible to follow the programs of
our providers. If your program proposal selected, the media will make sure you
keep your promises concerning the contents of the program. Make sure
the proposal does not bind any one. Should
allow chance of modification if necessary.
